So I have been kicking around the idea of making a list of all the funny things my kids say (well I don't have any kids of my own but as a teacher I have plenty that fill my heart with joy and laughter) and write a book... So well, no book yet, but a blog will work for now. :)
To get us started (I will use initials for names to protect my kiddos and their parents) BC comes out of the bathroom... Slinging water from his hands and says proudly:
"Guess what Jenny, I know how to spell butt."
"Ok, how do you spell it."
As proud as he could he said, "B! O! B!"
"Nope that spells Bob." I replied.
"Ok"
That was it... no, 'well then how do you spell it' or 'oops'... just ok and walked off... Then about a minute later I heard him sounding it out from the other room. Bah... uh.... tt....
Running back from the other room he said:
"I got it!! B! O! T!"
"Almost," I replied, "but that spells bot. B-u-t-t spells butt."
To this he has a blank stare and answers, "But I only hear one T when I say it." Shrugs and walks off.
6 year olds almost out of my age range preference... but they bring a whole new funny to things.
