Southern Charm

There are some things that people in Idaho just don't know much about... Southern food is a big one! I am sure if they knew our little secrets then they would all go crazy and then there would be a mass import of Grits, Sugar (for Sweet Tea of course) and Crawdads.

With that said - I made jambalya for Mardi Gras. One of the kids I babysit, was addicted... He wanted to eat and eat and eat it some more! This was the first indication that he was supposed to be my little southern buddy. He might have been born in Idaho but little did he know, he was made for much greater things.

Early last week, I made Grits for breakfast. In true WC fashion he wanted to try it and ate over half of it. When I made them again that week I doubled the amount so that I would actually be able to have some as well. We shared Grits and Sweet Tea for breakfast. I LOVE THIS KID!!

That afternoon he informed me that we were going to sell his brother.
WC - "Can we sell BC?"
Me - "Well if we sold him, what would we buy?"
WC - "Grips"
Me - I laughed really hard! "Well then, I guess if you have to buy something that is a good choice."

I guess I have made an impact on this little kid... I am sure going to miss him when I move!
